NCAA Tournament Bracket
INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 3 University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team was picked as the No. 10 overall seed, and will host the first two rounds of the 2011 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship which begins on Thursday, December 1.
Hawai'i (29-1) will face Northern Colorado (22-8) in the first round on Thursday, Dec. 1. The other first round match pits Oregon (21-9) against Colorado State (23-5). The winners will play Friday, Dec. 2 for the right to advance to the Honolulu Regional, Dec. 9-11.
The 'Bows enter the tournament with a 24-match win streak, and this past Wednesday won their 11th Western Athletic Conference Tournament. UH hosts the first and second round for the first time since 2003, and is making its 30th NCAA Tournament appearance.
The top 16 teams were seeded nationally and placed within four regions. The teams tabbed as the top four seeds were Texas, Nebraska, Illinois, and Iowa State.
Ticket packages will go on sale at the Stan Sheriff Center box office beginning Monday at 9:00 a.m., with single match tickets available beginning Thursday, Dec. 1. Free tickets will be given to the first 100 UH-Manoa students beginning Monday at 9:00 a.m. One ticket will be available per student with a valid student I.D. Season ticket holders who pre-paid for their tickets may pick them up starting Monday, 12:00 p.m.
