Joining Makino on the First Team was KaUa Wall who was one of the four forwards voted to the team. Midfielder Sanoe Souza and defender Liana Gualdarama were selected to the Second Team, while Andrea Aguirre was named Honorable Mention.
Makino is no stranger to PacWest hardware; she was named Goalkeeper of the Year in 2009 and to the second team in 2010. This year she finished the season with a 10-5-2 record, six shutouts and 1.21 goals against average in 17 starts. She had 80 saves (.792 save percentage).
Wall scored nine times with two assists, finishing the season with 20 points. She was credited with three game-winners.
Souza, a 2010 Honorable Mention, made the jump to the Second Team after totaling 16 points on five goals and six assists for the Sea Warriors. She scored one game-winning goal and drilled home her lone penalty kick attempt.
Aguirre totaled six goals and totaled 12 points with three game-winners this year. Aguirre suffered an injury in the middle of the season and missed four games.
Gualdarama repeated as a Second Team performer after taking the honor in 2010. The anchor of the HPU defense was an Honorable Mention in 2009.
