HONOLULU – The University of Hawai’i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team anxiously awaits their postseason fate, and will find out on Sunday when the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament selection show airs live on ESPNU at 4:00 p.m. ET (11:00 a.m. HT).
The 64-team field will be announced along with the sites for the first and second round matches. UH is currently ranked No. 16 in the NCAA’s RPI and hopes to be selected as one of the 16 host sites.
The ‘Bows concluded their season Friday with a sweep of UC Riverside to complete a perfect 18-0 Big West Conference record, the first team to do so since 2002.
The NCAA regionals will be held Dec. 7-8. The four predetermined sites are Haas Pavilion in Berkeley, Calif., CenturyLink Center Omaha in Omaha, Neb., Gregory Gymnasium in Austin, Texas, and Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Ind. Each regional winner will advance to the Final Four in Louisville, Ky. held Dec. 13 & 15.
