Powerful Play At Pink Power Flag Football Tourny

Pink Power: Cancer Awareness 1st Annual Coed Flag Football Winners – Team Hilina’i

By: King Eddie

The Pink Power Flag Football tournament was yet another success on the list of Pink Power events.

Each of these events are coordinated in order to promote activity and healthy living, as well as to promote cancer awareness. After an amazing softball showing, the Flag Football tournament had a tough act to follow. But it did so like a champ, with action from start to finish, smiles on the faces of all who were there, as well as tons of swag for the players involved.

The participants enjoyed a fun day in the sun and the competition was hot. Each team battled in out on the field, and both came through with some pretty miraculous plays. At mid-day, a group of teenage hopefuls challenged one of the tournament teams for a “just for fun” game that had just as many highlights as the rest of the games.

In the end everything on the checklist was accomplished. The games went off fantastically, everyone had a wonderful time, and it all benefited breast cancer awareness. Even the vendors such as Direct TV, Innovative Bath Solutions, and The Royal Hawaiian Shooting Club participated by handing out free stuff and raffling off prizes. The support was fantastic as usual.

Thanks you to all who joined in, and to those who missed out. . . . we’ll see you at the next one.
